Represented by ICBS Students, West Sumatra’s MFQ Team Grabbed Its Very First Gold Medal in National MTQ 2020
The male representative of Musabaqah Fahmil Quran (MFQ) West Sumatra Province finally got its first gold after championing the Grand Final of National MTQ 2020 held in UNP auditorium, Padang, Indonesia. The team earned the highest score after defeating the representatives from Jakarta and North Sumatra. Two of the members of MFQ team are ICBS best students who memorise 30 Juz of Quran.
This achievement is so big that the team got so many appreciations from many high authorities in West Sumatra. Irwan Prayitno, the governor of West Sumatra, who attended the event and witnessed the historical achievement expressed his pride and happiness and congratulated the team for its success.
Congratulatory message also came from the mayor of Payakumbuh, Riza Falepi, who expressed his admiration towards the struggle the MFQ team has put in the competition. He also thanked the founder of ICBS, Ustaz Ahmad Maududi, for his big contribution and commitment in developing the Islamic education and in building a great Quran generation through ICBS.
